Today's Quick Write Challenge!

Today is your chance to GET PERSONAL!  Choose one of the options below and create a mini personal narrative about the topic

1. Walk a Mile in My Shoes

In To Kill a Mockingbird, author Harper Lee writes:
“You never really know a man until you understand things from his point of view, until you climb into his skin and walk around in it.”
Write about a personal experience that helped you to better understand another person.

2. Friends of the Heart

Loyalty and friendship are common themes in books and movies. Write about a time when friendship proved to be of great value to you.

3. Lessons Learned

Your mom and dad are your first—and most influential—teachers. Describe a time when you learned an important lesson from one of your parents.

4. Travel Wonders

Some of our richest or most meaningful experiences take place when we travel. Write a paragraph or two about a memorable experience you had when you were traveling. To draw your reader in, include emotional words along with sensory descriptions of sight, sound, touch, taste, or smell.
